Welcome to the official web page of the EGCA Champions League 2025 – Podgorica Qualification Stage. The tournament was held in the capital of Montenegro from 21st to 23rd March. The venue was the Verde Sports Center of the Hotel Voco (address: Oktoih 2, Podgorica, Montenegro). The floor material was wooden parquet floor. The tournament was head organized by GC Nikšić together with the NPC of Montenegro and European Goalball Club Association.
There were seven participating clubs from 7 different countries in the tournament. Top 3 ranked clubs of the tournament qualified to the Final Stage of the Champions League 2025 season that was held in Matosinhos, Portugal from 19th to 23rd June. There were already 7 clubs qualified to the Final Stage.

There were 7 participating clubs in the tournament: GC Nikšić (MNE)BSI – Blinde og Svagsynedes Idrætsforening (DEN), BRUK-BET Termalica Kraków (POL), GC NAIS (SRB), IFAS Stokholm (SWE), Kleio Thessaloniki (GRE), Nilüfer Belediyesi Görme Engelliler Spor Kulübü (TUR)
The teams played a single round robin so each team will had six games during the tournament weekend.
A team earned3 points from a victory, 1 point from a tie and 0 points from a loss. Teams ranking in the tournament’s single round robin was determined as follow:
a) Earned points;
b) Goal Difference;
c) Missed Goals;
d) If parameters A – C are equal between two teams, better is a team who has won their respective match;
e) If the respective match has finished tie, better is a team who has led at half time;
F. If all the parameters above are tied, then we will have extra throw competition to determine the order of teams.

Tournament jury is consisted by:
- Bülent Kimyon – Chief Referee- or another referee if the chief referee has whistled in a game that is under the protest. A referee works as the chairperson of the tournament jury;
- Erkki Miinala – EGCA representative;
- Club representative (the chief referee will name a representative from the club that has not played in the game that is under the protest)
Protest fee is 100 € and it should be paid by cash. The protest must be made in writing using the protest form, which can be found at the officials’ table. The protest form must be submitted, and the protest fee must be paid within 30 minutes of the end of the match in question. The protest form must clearly state which IBSA rule or specific EGCA rule the protest concerns. The tournament’s livestream video may be used as evidence in connection with the protest.
We were using IBSA 2022-2024 rules on the EGCA – Champions League 2025 season.
