Women’s Champions League 2026 will take place from 19 to 23 August 2026 in the true goalball city of Rostock on the Baltic Sea coast. This event is organised by RGC HANSA ROSTOCK and will be conducted in full compliance with the EGCA competition rules.

VENUE & ACCOMMODATION
Competition Venue
CJD Campus

This modern competition venue was opened in November 2024 on the occasion of the EGCA U23 Championship and is specially designed to meet the needs of our goalball athletes.
Accommodation
The teams will be staying at the HOTEL ANA AMBER, which is idyllically located on the River Warnow, close to shopping facilities, Rostock city centre and excellent transport links. The competition venue is only 2.6 km away. Our shuttle service will ensure smooth and easy logistics during the event.

PARTICIPATION FEE
- Full participation fee: €360 per person
Includes:
- Access to the tournament
- 4 nights’ hotel accommodation in double or triple rooms
- All meals (from dinner on 19 August 2026 to lunch on 23 August 2026)
- Transfer to and from Rostock Central Station or Port (ferry) and Rostock-Laage Airport will be organised by the organisers.
- Low participation fee: €140 per person
Includes:
- Access to the tournament
- Lunch on competition days (THURSDAY – FRIDAY – SATURDAY – SUNDAY)
- Transfer on arrival and departure to Rostock main station or port (ferry) and RostockLaage airport will be organised by the organisation. (Accommodation and other meals are at the expense of the club.)
OPTIONAL UPGRADES & SUPPLEMENTS
- Single room supplement: €50 per person/night
- Additional night (accommodation only): €200 per room (2 beds)
- There is also a possibility to get private transfer from Hamburg or Berlin Airports arranged by the organizer with extra cost.

Registration is open between 15th February – 20th April 2026.
There are maximum 14 participating clubs in the tournament.
REGISTRATION REGULATIONS
Team Regulations
(1) Only European clubs who are official members of EGCA can participate. If you are not yet the official member, please register your club here
(2) Clubs will be approved to the tournament in following criteria
A. The host club is automatically qualified = RGC Hansa Rostock
B. The Champions of the national goalball leagues / Championships in order of countries in last European Championships
C. Clubsin order of the Women’s Champions League Ranking
D. Two wild cards for clubs coming from countries that have not previously had a representative in the Women’s Champions League. These clubs will be approved in the order determined by their countries’ ranking in the previous European Championships. If the countries did not participate in the most recent European Championships, the place will be given to the team that registers first.
E. All other European clubs. Priority will be given to clubs that have participated in a national goalball league or national championships. The clubs will first be ranked according to their position in the national league or championships, and if two teams have the same ranking, their order will be determined based on which team’s country achieved a better position in the most recent European Championships.
Roster Regulation
(1) There must be always minimum 4 and maximum 6 registered athletes / team at a Women’s Champions League stage. Players can’t change the team during the Women’s Champions League tournament.
(2) There must be always a minimum one IBSA classified athlete in a squad of a team at a Women’s Champions League stage.
(3) Unclassified athletes (also sighted) athletes are eligible in the Women’s Champions League.
(4) A club must always have local athletes in its line-up for the Women’s Champions League stage. A local athlete is a player who has played for the club’s team during the last two national league seasons (the current season counts) or in two consecutive national championships (the current year counts) or in three consecutive years in EGCA competitions (current year counts).
(5) If a team registers 6 athletes in its line-up for the Women’s Champions League stage, four of these athletes must be local athletes; if the team registers 5 athletes, three must be local; and if the team registers 4 athletes, three must be local. The nationality of the athlete does not matter, as long as the athlete meets the above-mentioned local player criteria. This rule also applies to athletes who come from the same country as the club.
(6) A club may register EU citizens in its line-up who does not meet the local athlete criteria.
(7) A club may register one non-EU citizen in its lineup who does not meet the local athlete criteria.
(8) A female athlete can take part in the Champions League and it will not prevent them to take part inWomen’s Champions League, Youth Championships or EGCA Grand Prix tournaments. A female athlete can also represent another club in another competition like one in the Champions League and another in the EGCA Grand Prix.
(9) Failure to comply with registration rules results in a 10-0 loss in the game.
