The European Grand Prix managed by European Goalball Club Association (EGCA( season 2024 will be kicked off in Odivelas, Portugal between 13th – 15th September 2024 with eight clubs from seven countries. The tournament is organized by the Clube Atlético e Cultural. This is the first time for the club to organize the EGCA Competition. The tournament director is Mauro Diogo (email: cac.desportoadaptado@gmail.com, phone: +351915802609).
The tournament will take Place in the city of Odivelas which is located very close to the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. Odivelas has been the arena of the SEGL – Champions League 2021 finals as well as the first edition of the Goalball Clubs World Cup 2021. The venue of the Odivelas Grand Prix 2024 is Pavilhão Moinhos da Arroja, Odivelas.

There are eight clubs in the competition and they are divided in two groups of four clubs:

There are following seven referees in the competition
PLAY SYSTEM
There is a single round robin to be played in the groups. After the round robin two best clubs continue to the semifinals and medal games, 3rd clubs of the groups will play for places 5-6 and 4th clubs of the groups for places 7-8 in the tournament.
Semifinals, medal games and placement games will be played until the winner is determined; if the game is draw after the regular time, there will 2 * 3 minutes over time with the golden goal rule (first scored team will win the game). If the game is Still draw after the over time, there will be extra throws competition organized.
At the Group stage a team earns 3 points from the win, 1 point from a draw and 0 points from a loss. The ranking of the clubs will be determined as follows:
a) Earned points;
b) Goal Difference;
c) Missed Goals;
d) If parameters A – C are equal between two teams, better is a team who has won their respective match;
e) If the respective match has finished tie, better is a team who has led at half time;
f) If all the above criteria are tied between two teams, the advancing team will be determined by a draw.
