CALL FOR CANDIDATES TO EGCA COMPETITION COMMITTEE

Do you want to help create amazing international club competitions in Europe — could you be the right person to join the EGCA Competition Committee?

EGCA is looking for passionate and innovative individuals who genuinely work for the development of club goalball to join the Competition Committee for a two-year term in 2026–2027.

You can register until 20th November using the application form available here

Eight members will be selected for the Competition Committee based on the applications. The applications will be reviewed by the head of the EGCA Competition Committee, Erkki Miinala, who will present his proposal for the committee composition to the new EGCA Board in December 2025.

“We have had a very active and well-functioning Competition Committee last years, but within EGCA we want to make things even more transparent and offer more people the opportunity to get involved in EGCA’s activities. I also warmly encourage EGCA member clubs to explore their members’ interest in standing for the new EGCA Board, which will be elected on 7th December at the EGCA General Assembly,” says EGCA President Erkki Miinala.

In your application, it is important to present your background in goalball, specify which areas of European club goalball you are interested in, and demonstrate sufficient English skills to participate in the Committee’s online meetings. It is also an advantage if you are able to travel to competition events as an EGCA representative.

EGCA organises around ten international club competitions each year, and its operations are extensive, structured and continuously developing. The EGCA Champions League, Women’s Champions League, EGCA Grand Prix and EGCA Youth Championships are already well-known and popular events — and this year we launched a brand new tournament, the EGCA European Cup, which will take place at the end of November in Thessaloniki, Greece. We warmly welcome new ideas, as EGCA is a flexible, agile and innovative association with a great passion for developing club goalball in Europe. We are also open to exploring new competition formats in the coming years.

You are warmly welcome to apply as a candidate for the EGCA Competition Committee!
