Capture: The log of the EGCA Champions League
The season 2025 is the 11th season in the EGCA – Champions League (former name Super European Goalball League) that is managed by the EGCA Competition Committee. The season includes three qualification stages and the Final Stage.
Saltinis from Lithuania is the reigning Champion of the Champions league; the club has won three Champion titles in a row and total 6 Champion titles during the Champions League history. Sporting CP from Portugal has won the Champions League twice, Invasport Ukraine (UKR) and Old Power (FIN) once.
QUALIFICATION STAGES
There are three (3) qualification stages on season 2025 and there are maximum eight (8) participating clubs in each of them so the total number of participating clubs is 24 at the qualification stages. Three (3) best clubs of each stage will be qualified to the Final Stage together with the host club of the Final Stage so total 10 clubs will fight for the European Championships medals at the Final Stage.
There are following three (3) qualification stages:
- Peterborough, Great Britain on 20th – 23rd February 2025 organized by Fen Tigers
- Rostock, Germany on 6th – 9th March 2025 organized by RGC Hansa
- Podgorica, Montenegro on 20th – 23rd March 2025 organized by GC Niksic
FINAL STAGE
The Final Stage will be held in Matosinhos, Portugal on 19th – 23rd June 2025 organized by ANDDVIS and FC Porto. FC Porto is automatically qualified o the Final Stage as the host club together with three (3) nbest clubs of each stage, total 10 participating clubs.
WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2025
Women’s Champions League 2025 tournament will be organized first time on own competition weekend and it will take Place in Berlin, Germany on 23rd – 27th October organized by the reigning Champion of the Women’s Champions League Füchse Berlin.
The registration for participating clubs of the Women’s Champions League 2025 tournament will be kicked off during the first quarter of year 2025.
