Welcome to the official web page of the EGCA Women’s Champions League 2025.

The European Goalball Club Association (EGCA) and Füchse Berlin are delighted to invite all European women’s goalball club teams to the EGCA Women’s Champions League 2025.
The event will take place from November 6th to 10th 2025 in Berlin, Germany.

The matches will be held in the hall at Füchse-Sportpark, and the teams will be accommodated at the 3-star superior “Victor’s Residenz Hotel.” From the hotel, many of the city’s attractions can be easily reached by public transport. A shuttle service will be available between the team hotel and the venue. Breakfast for all participants will be served at the hotel, while lunch and dinner will be provided at the club’s own restaurant in Füchse-Sportpark.

PARTICIPATING TEAMS & GAME SYSTEM

Line-ups of the participating clubs will be published finally 10 days before the start of the competition

There are 10 participating clubs in the competition and they are divided in 2 preliminary groups as follow:

Group A: FIFH Malmo (SWE), Old Power (FIN), RGC Hansa (GER), GC Golden Flash (FRA), USV Hercules (NED)

Group B: Füchse Berlin (GER), CSAVH Lyon (FRA), Kleio Thessaloniki (GRE), Näpäjä (FIN), Kahramanmaras (TUR)

Teams will play a sinlge round robin in both groups. Top 2 teams of both groups will continue to the semifinals and medal games. Teams who will be ranked on places 3-4 in both groups will play for places 5-8 in the tournament. 5th ranked club of both groups will play for places 9-10 in the tournament.

The tournament will be played under existing IBSA 2025 rules.

A team earns 3 points from awin, 1 point from a draw and 0 points for a loss in a preliminary group game. The ranking of teams in a preliminary group is determined by following system:

A. Earned points

B. Goal difference

C. Missed goals

D. If two teams remain tied after criteria A–C, priority shall be given to the team that won the head-to-head match between them

E. If 2 teams remain tied after A-D criteria, there is an extra throw competition organized between those teams to determine their ranking

Sarah Küper – Chief Referee (if Sarah has officiated in the game that is under the protest, she will be replaced by another referee who has not officiated in the game that is under the protest)

Protest fee is 100 € and it must be given by cash when the protest protocol is returned to the chief referee. Protest protocols are available on the official’s table and a team has 30 minutes time to make a protest after a game.
