The 1st European Grand Prix club goalball competition in 2023 will be held in the City of Rostock, Germany on 7th – 9th April. TOURNAMENT ORGANIZER RGC HANSA
The Rostock Grand Prix 2023 is organized by the local goalball club Rostocker Goalball Club Hansa e.v. as known as RGC Hansa and sanctioned by the European Goalball Club Association (EGCA).
RGC Hansa organized the first ever European Grand Prix stage in Rostock in May 2021 and it has hosted also several SEGL – Champions League tournaments for example the Final Stage of the season 2022 in its home City. There were held also the great and successful IBSA Goalball European Championships 2019 in Rostock.

PARTICIPATING CLUBS AND PLAY SYSTEM
There are six participating clubs from five countries at the Rostock Grand Prix 2023: BSI (Denmark), CSAVH Lyon (FRA), Ionas GC (GRE), Kleio Thessaloniki (GRE), Old Power (FIN), RGC Hansa (GER)

Teams will meet each other in a single round robin (5 games for each team). The Top 2 clubs of the single round robin will take on each others in the final game of the tournament on Sunday 9th April. The ranking for places 3 – 6 in the tournament will be determined by the ranking of teams after the single round robin. If there is a draw after the regular time in the final game 2 * 3 minutes over time will be played with golden goal rule and if there is still a draw after 2 * 3 minutes over time the extra throws competition will be organized to determine the winner of the tournament.
The following parameters will be used for the ranking of teams in the single round robin:
- Earned points
- Goal difference
- Conseded goals
- If the parameters 1. – 3. are equal between two teams, better is a team who have won the game between the teams
- If the game between two teams has been finished a draw, better is a team who has led at the half time
- If all the parameters 1. – 5. are equal between two teams and they are competing for the place in the final game of the tournament the extra throws competition will be organized to determine the finalist
- If all the parameters 1. – 5. are equal between two teams and they are not competing the place in the final game of the tournament they will share the same ranking in the tournament
