The 1st stage of the SEGL – Champions League North Division on season 2022 played in the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius on 18th – 20th February 2022. Below you can find all the participated teams with line-ups, results and stats of the tournament.
The stage was organized by Saltinis and the tournament director was Nerius Montvydas (nerijus.montvydas@gmail.com).
The host club Saltinis won the tournament with 12 points before Finnish clubs Old Power (10 points) and Aisti Sport (7 points) respectively. Aarhus Goalball from Denmark and Fen Tigers from Uk earned six points of each during the weekend and the bronze medal team of last SEGL season Ha. Vi. 2 Bruxelles from Belgium managed to earn three points from Vilnius.
The best scorer of last SEGL season, Klison Mapreni from Ha. Vi. 2 Bruxelles was again the hungriest goal scorer at the Vilnius stage with 32 goals leaving Dan Roper from Fen Tigers at the 2nd place by one goal margin. Also the living goalball legend Genrik Pavliukianec from Saltinis as well as Gustav Koch Rasmussen from Aarhus Goalball managed to cross 20 goals mark during the weekend.
