The Final Stage of the SEGL – Champions League (SEGL) as well as Women’s Champions League (SEWGL) 2022 tournament will take place in Rostock, Germany from 27th to 31st October 2022. The event will be head organized by RGC Hansa together with the European Goalball Club Association (EGCA). The games will be played at OSPA Arena (main venue) and CJD Sports Hall.
This will be the final stage of the 8th edition of the SEGL – Champions League and seven clubs will reach for the title “european Champion” of the clubs. The reigning champion Invasport Ukraine won’t participate in the tournament. Participating clubs are: Aisti Sport (FIN), ANDDVIS Portugal (POR), Chemnitzer BC (GER), GC Niksic (MNE), Old Power (FIN), RGC Hansa (GER), Saltinis (LTU). Teams will play a single round robin (each team will meet each others) and then Top 4 clubs of the round robin will continue to the semifinals and medal games. Teams that will be ranked at places 5 – 6 in the round robin will play a placement game.
This will be the 3rd edition of the Women’s Champions League and six clubs will fight for the “European Champion” title. There will be a new champion at the end of the tournament in Rostock because the champion of two first editions, Sporting CP from Portugal won’t participate. Participating clubs are: Aisti Sport (FIN), ASCCB Besancon (FRA), CSAVH Lyon (FRA), FIFH Malmo (SWE), Old Power ( FIN), RGC Hansa (GER). Teams will play as SEGL tournaments a single round robin and after it Top 4 teams will continue to the semifinals and medal games. 5th and 6th teams of the round robin will meet in a placement game.
