THE GROUP DRAW OF THE SEGL ESPOO 2023

SEGL – Champions League Season 2023 will begin on Friday 24th February 2023 with the qualification stage of the North Division in the city of Espoo, Finland. There will be a new record, 10 participating clubs in the tornament to compete for the four tickets to the final stage of the season that will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 28th June – 2nd July.

The reigning champion of the SEGL, Saltinis is automatically part of the culmination of the season as the hosting club and also the top 3 clubs of the SEGL South will be qualified to the final stage. SEGL South will be played with 7 clubs in Lyon, France just one week after the SEGL Espoo tournament.

There will be two groups of 5 teams at the SEGL Espoo 2023 and today the draw of groups was held at the venue of the upcoming tournament, Sport Hall Of Tapiola. The event was hosted by the communications manager of the Finnish Paralympic Committee Mr. Lauri Jaakkola and the quests, EGCA president Mr. Erkki Miinala and the chairperson of the participating club Aisti Sport Mr. Miika Honkanen drew the clubs to the groups. We just want to remind that all the 25 games of the tournament will be live broadcasted on GoalballTV YouTube channel with English commentary by the brilliant professionals Bradley Hope and Florim Seremeti. We will open the official webpage of the SEGL Espoo 2023 tournament during upcoming weekend.

After group games there will be a placement game for places 9 – 10 in the tournament on Sunday morning and after that game there will be four qualification games: A2-B3, B2-A3, A1-B4 and B1-A4 in order. Please meet the whole game schedule (UTC+2):
